With more than three decades of experience in the field of medicine, Dr. Andrew Engler serves as the medical director of The Allergy and Asthma Clinic in San Mateo, California. Among his areas of focus, Dr. Andrew Engler provides innovative treatments for food allergies, asthma, eczema, urticaria (hives), and allergic rhinitis (hay fever). This includes the use of cluster immunotherapy to help patients become less allergic. An accelerated form of allergy immunotherapy, cluster immunotherapy allows patients to achieve their "maintenance dose" of their allergy treatment more quickly through a process of allergy shots given over a number of weeks instead of the more traditional dosing schedule which typically takes 6 to 12 months..

Dr. Andrew Engler began training to become a doctor by earning a bachelor of arts in philosophy from Stanford University in 1978. He studied basic medical sciences at Yale University as well as earned a doctor of medicine from Stanford University in 1982. Dr. Andrew Engler went on to complete a medical internship and a residency at Stanford University Hospital in 1982 and 1986, respectively, after which he enrolled in an allergy preceptorship at The Allergy Clinic in Houston, Texas. Dr. Andrew Engler returned to California and established The Allergy and Asthma Clinic in 1987.
